STARKVILLE, MS. (THECOUNT) — Missing Alabama man Richard “Cory” Baughn has been found dead in an apparent vehicle crash, according to family members. He had been missing for two weeks.
A family member told local reporters that the 31-year-old man who had been missing for two weeks was found dead this morning by Starkville police.
Baughn wrecked his car in some undergrowth in Mississippi and never left the vehicle, according to officials.
Baughn’s sister divulged the sad news of her brother discovery
Last weekend 85 people searched the 3.5 mile radius around the last location where Baughn’s phone pinged, but their search came up empty-handed, reports ABC3340.
Phone records showed Baughn stopped at an intersection near East Mississippi Community College’s Golden Temple Campus in Mayhew. There was a google search on the phone for rehab facilities. But there were no reported sightings of Baughn.
Baughn was seen leaving an apartment in Starkville, Mississippi on November 12. Authorities said he was presumed to be driving his white Nissan 350-Z east on Highway 82 toward his father’s house in Lynn, Alabama.
