Who Changed Nathaniel Berhow Instagram Caption?

SANTA CLARITA, CA. (THECOUNT) — 16-year-old Nathaniel Berhow made a posting on his Instagram page that read, “Saugus, have fun at school tomorrow.” If the timeline stands up in the horrific shooting, and the teen did in fact shoot himself in the head directly after shooting his classmates in the quad, who later changed the caption to his Instagram to something else? That is the question a lot of folks are asking tonight.

Officials speaking on the deadly shooting said Thursday evening that Berhow’s Instagram was indeed altered and that they were aware of it and “looking into it.”

The original Instagram caption, which was widely reported on news media outlets, and was mysteriously altered, after the teen rendered himself incapacitated at the school using the last bullet of a 45 caliber handgun.

Officials say security footage confirmed the teen committed suicide in the quad right after committing the mass shooting.

Berhow was said to be listed in “grave condition,” at an area hospital.

Late Thursday reports said a third person had died in the shooting. It is unclear if that person was Berhow.

KFI’s John and Ken show surmised Thursday that Berhow’s IG caption was “scrubbed,” possibly by Instagram. If true, the mega social media company could be charged with “tampering with evidence,” as all of the teen’s properties are now considered in evidence.

Berhow was identified as the suspected gunman in the Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California Thursday afternoon by DailyMail.

The shooting occurred inside California’s Saugus High School Thursday morning, leaving 3 dead and multiple people injured, according to reports.

The shooting was reported at 7:45 a.m. Pacific Time at the school on Centurion Way in Santa Clarita.

The remaining victims are said to be listed in critical condition.
