CUMBERLAND COUNTY, ME. (THECOUNT) — James Patrick Ramsey, of Bailey Island, ME, has been identified as the victim killed in a Sunday morning pickup truck crash, according to reports.
“Jamie” Ramsey, 48, died in a crash that happened on Harpswell Neck Road around 7 a.m. Sunday.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, Ramsey was operating a Dodge Ram pickup truck on Harpswell Neck Road, when he may have suffered a medical episode that caused him to cross centerline and exit the roadway in Cumberland County on Sunday.
Deputies were dispatched to reports of a single-vehicle crash on a stretch of Harpswell Neck Road. When thye arrived, Ramsey’s Dodge was found in the woods.
“It appears as if (there) was some sort of medical event before the crash,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release, without specifying further, reports SunJournal.
No further information was provided by officials.
The investigation into the exact cause of the wreck remains open.
