BALDWIN, ME. (THECOUNT) — Ryan D. Smith, of North Baldwin, Maine, has been identified as the victim killed in a vehicle crash Friday morning, according to reports.
Smith, 25, was killed in crash in Baldwin early Friday morning, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Reports say, Smith was operating his For Ranger 4X4 pickup truck around 12:30 a.m. Friday on Bridgton Road, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway.
The vehicle then struck a grouping of tree before coming to a rest.
Smith became entrapped within the vehicle.
He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say speed played a factor in the violent crash, reports WGME.
The crash remains under investigation.
