WATERBURY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Jason Racz, 37 of Waterbury, Connecticut, is believed to be responsible for placing razor blades that were discovered in kids’ Halloween candy baskets and treat bags in Waterbury Thursday.
Waterbury police said they responded to a home at 102 Horseshoe Drive after they received several reports about the razor blades, which were loose in the baskets and bags. The razors were not found in candy, police said.
Last night investigators indicated they believed they had the person responsible in custody, reports NBC.
Waterbury police are warning anyone who was trick-or-treating in the Horseshoe Drive area to check their candy carefully and report anything suspicious to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
