NORTH STONINGTON, CT. (THECOUNT) — Abigayl Lanphear, of Westerly, Rhode Island, has been identified as the teenage victim in a triple-fatal crash in Connecticut on Wednesday night, according to reports.
“Abby” Lanphear, 17, was killed along with two other individuals in a Wednesday crash in North Stonington. 84-year-old Roger Noel, of West Warwick, Rhode Island and 83-year-old Dorothy Noel, also died in the crash.
According to officials, Lanphear was operating a vehicle in Interstate 95 north in North Stonington at about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines and exited her side of the roadway.
Lanphear’s vehicle then entered opposing I-95 lanes and struck the vehicle of Roger and Dorothy Noel, head on.
Two passengers in Noel’s car and one in Lanphear’s car were injured, two seriously.
The crash remains under investigation.
