IRVING, TX. (THECOUNT) — One person is dead and two seriously injured at the Frito-Lay construction site in Irving, Texas on Friday, according to officials.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. at a new facility that is under construction in the 700 block of North Loop 12 in Irving.
Fire officials confirmed that three people were taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Irving police said at about 3:40 p.m. Friday that one of the workers was pronounced dead of injuries sustained at the site.
Police said initial reports indicate the three men were on two ladders which collided and the men fell as far as 30 feet, reports NBCDFW.
The two men who were hurt are listed in critical and serious condition, police said.
According to police, all of the men involved were employees of the construction company building the facility.
The names of the men have not yet been released.
