IL Man Teran Jeffries Arrested In Murder Of St Louis Rapper Cold Kase

EAST ST. LOUIS, IL. (THECOUNT) — Popular East St. Louis rapper, Cold Kase, was shot dead in Illinois on Monday night, according to reports. And now The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office says 32-year-old Teran Jeffries was charged Friday with the first-degree murder of Cedric Gooden, known professionally as Cold Kase.

Kase, aka, Cedric Gooden, 25, was shot dead in the parking lot of a gas station located near State Street at 83rd Street around 9:50 p.m. Monday night.

Gooden was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

Details surrounding the shooting are scarce as the East St. Louis police called in the Illinois State Police to help in the investigation, reports FOX2NOW.

Police have not released a description of any suspects.

Jeffries is being held at the St. Clair County Jail on $2.5 million bond. Court records show he does not yet have an attorney, according to HearldExtra.
