SC USPS Mail Carrier Irene Pressley Found Shot Dead In Vehicle Along Andrews Delivery Route

WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Authorities in Williamsburg County, South Carolina are seeking a suspect or suspects in the murder of Irene Presley, a mail carrier who was found shot to death along her Andrews route on Monday, according to reports.

Authorities are searching for a suspect in the murder of the 64-year-old Williamsburg County mail carrier.

Coroner Harrison McKnight says, Pressley was found shot to death Monday afternoon inside her marked USPS delivery SUV on Morrisville Road.

United States Postal Inspection Service spokesperson Jessica Adams says Pressley, of Big Bay Rd, Andrews, SC, was on her mail delivery route when she was killed.

Neither the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office nor the Postal Inspection Service would say if any suspects have been identified or a possible motive for the murder, reports WBTV.

Adams says when the person is caught and if convicted, that person could face a federal death penalty.

The State Law Enforcement Division is assisting in the investigation.
