MYRTLE BEACH, SC. (THECOUNT) — Jacob Matthews has been identified as the victim in a fatal fall from a balcony at Myrtle Beach Ocean Reef Resort, according to Monday reports.
Authorities confirmed on Monday, Matthews, 22, died after falling from an undisclosed floor while on a balcony at the resort on Saturday.
The resort is located at, 7100 Ocean Blvd, in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The exact floor is unclear, though authorities were seen photographing a balcony on the hotel’s top floor, reports WYFF4.
Myrtle Beach police didn’t immediately detail the circumstances surrounding the fall at the Ocean Reef Resort or say if alcohol was a factor in Matthews’ death.
