OH Man Joe Zaayer ID’d As Victim In Saturday Fatal Walnut Township Crash Involving Semi

WALNUT TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Joe Zaayer from Pleasantville, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Walnut township Saturday morning, according to reports.

Zaayer, 39, was killed in a crash occurring Saturday around 10:10 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 37 and State Route 204 in Walnut Township.

Zaayer was operating a Dodge Caravan SR-104 when he failed to observe a posted yield sign while traveling on State Route 37.

A Volvo Commercial Tractor Trailer was going south on SR -37 when he made contact with Zaayer’s vehicle.

Zaayer was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The driver of the Volvo was wearing a seatbelt and did not suffer any injuries as a result of the crash, reports 10TV.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor of the crash.
