NEW YORK, NY. (THECOUNT) — Former “All My Children” star, Cameron Mathison, has revealed a battle with kidney cancer.
Mathison, 50, broke the news to fans Monday on “Home and Family,” the Hallmark Channel show he hosts, before opening up about it on Instagram on Tuesday.
“About a month ago, I had an MRI for some gut issues I’ve been having, and during that MRI they found a tumor on my right kidney. It’s consistent with Renal Cell Carcinoma … or kidney cancer,” he wrote.
Mathison, best known for his role as Ryan Lavery on “All My Children” from 1998-2011, said his lifestyle prior to this diagnosis had been a benefit, reports Today.
