Taylor Swift Burglar Richard McEwan Arrested ‘Doing Donuts’ On 11th Hole Of Trump Bedminster Golf Course

BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Richard J. McEwan has been identified as the driver arrested after caught doing donuts on the 11th home of the Trump Bedminster Golf Club on Sunday.

McEwan, 26, was charged with damaging Trump National Golf Club on Lamington Road, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

McEwan of Milford via Breinigsville, PA, who is also known for burglarizing Taylor Swift’s home, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief. He was recently caught trying breaking into the singer’s home a week prior.

At about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, a club employee on the course told Bedminster police that he heard loud music and saw a Ford sedan with one occupant doing “donuts” on the 11th hole of the popular golf club.

Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said search produced a black piece of plastic labeled Ford. The damage to the grounds was estimated to be in excess of $10,000.

At about 3:36 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, there was a report of a vehicle driving on the green of the 13th hole which caused damage estimated at $7,000 to $9,000, Robertson said. A witness identified the vehicle as a blue Ford compact car with a Rutgers sticker driven by a younger white male, reports NewJerseyHills.

A partial license plate was obtained, leading authorities to identify the vehicle as a 2006 Ford Focus belonging to McEwan, the prosecutor said.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, with help from Holland Township police, McEwan was found at his home, taken into custody without incident and charged, Robertson said.

McEwan was released pending a future court date.
