BURLINGTON, NC. (THECOUNT) — James Hamilton Little, of Mebane, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Burlington Saturday evening, according to reports.
Little, 59, was operating a 2019 Indian motorcycle when he collided with a parked van after 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a Burlington Police Department press release.
Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Anthony Road on reports of a motorcycle collision.
When they arrived, officers discovered Little’s motorcycle had struck a parked van.
Little was traveling north on Anthony Road, when for unknown reasons, his motorcycle crossed centerlines, exited the roadway and made contact with a parked van.
He was found unconscious near his motorcycle, according to MyFox8.
EMS and fire department officials attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident are being asked to call police at 911.
