EASTPOINTE, MI. (THECOUNT) — Ervin Brock Smith, of Warren, MI, has been identified as the victim in a deadly hit-and-run collision overnight in Eastpoint.
Smith, 45, was operating a motorcycle traveling on E. 10 Mile Rd near Bellview Elementary School when the fatal collision occurred around 11 p.m. Thursday.
Police say they are searching for the driver of a black GMC Envoy seen fleeing the scene of the collision.
Police say the motorcyclist was heading west on 10 Mile when he lost control and crashed, reports Fox2Detroit.
A black GMC Envoy was seen leaving the accident and believe they may have been involved. Police are calling the driver a person of interest.
That driver is described as a black female between 20 and 30 years old, about 5’9″ with braids and last seen wearing a white T-shirt.
The GMC Envoy may have front-end damage.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911 immediately.
