KANSAS CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Cortez Seals and Marcus Neal have been identified as the victims in a deadly double shooting in the parking lot of a Kansas City community center on Sunday evening.
Police say they responded to calls of shots fired around 6:30 p.m. Sunday after the Brush Creek Community Center shuttered for the night.
Upon arrival, police discovered two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
Police identified 28-year-old Seals and 29-year-old Neal as the victims on Monday morning.
It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the shooting, reports OzarksFirst.
A suspect description was not provided.
The investigation is ongoing.
