THIBODAUX, LA. (THECOUNT) — Saharold Holmes, of Thibodaux, LA, has been identified as the victim of a deadly shooting Sunday, according to officials.
Thibodaux, 19, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound in a field near the 400 block of Abby Road, in Thibodaux, LA after 2 a.m.
Police arrived to the scene on reports of shots fired and located a vehicle riddled with bullets.
Thibodaux was located in a nearby field suffering from gunshot injuries.
Holmes was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
Deputies also made contact with a second shooting victim. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was reported to be in critical condition, reports WBRZ. That victim’s name was not provided by officials.
Through the investigation, authorities learned two other men were in the car at the time of the shooting.
Those men were taken into custody for questioning.
Detectives don’t believe the shooting was a random act of violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
