SENECA, SC. (THECOUNT) — Mary Rebecca Graham, the Seneca, SC woman hospitalized following a motorcycle crash that claimed the live of her husband, James Richard “Richie” Rogers, Jr, on Thursday, has passed away Saturday evening from injuries suffered in the wreck.
The coroner says 32-year-old Rogers, of Seneca, died at an area hospital shortly after the crash. Mary was transported to a hospital where she clung to life in a coma until succumbing to her injuries Saturday.
Troopers say the crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on Thursday after the driver of a Dodge pickup, traveling on Singing Pines Road, made contact with Rogers’ motorcycle.
Troopers indicated the truck driver failed to yield the right-of-way and struck the motorcyclist ejecting the couple from the bike.
SCHP reports the truck driver was charged for failing to yield for a stop sign.
Family members set up a GoFundMe to help cover funeral expenses as well as any left over funds will go to the couple’s nine-year-old child, reports FoxCarolina.
