PHOENIX, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Danzail Walton has been identified as the victim in an early Saturday shooting in Phoenix, Arizona.

Walton, 26, was found suffering from at least one gunshot around 2 a.m. Saturday morning near I-17 and McDowell Road, according to officials.

According to Phoenix police, Walton was standing at a parking lot exit near Jaguars Sports Bar when two individuals pulled up in a vehicle.

Police say the suspects exited the vehicle and a “short verbal exchange” with Walton ensued. One of the suspects then displayed a handgun and opened fire striking Walton.

He was transported to an area hospital where he later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Phoenix police say they are searching for two suspects involved in the homicide.

The two suspects are men believed to be between 25 to 30 years old.

A security guard in the parking lot allegedly shot at the suspects’ vehicle, and believes some of his rounds hit the Blue Chevy Sedan, reports ABC15.
