JOHNSTON, RI. (THECOUNT) — Rosa Garcia Almonte, of Providence, Rhode Island has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Johnston Friday afternoon, according to State Police.
Almonte, 21, was killed in a crash that occurred around 3 p.m. on the southbound side of Route 295, just south of Exit 10.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then rolled over.
Almonte was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to Facebook, Almonte, a young mother of three, was originally from Queens, New York and attended Hillcrest High School in New York City.
