CRETE, NE. (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified Clarence Patzloff and Janice Silva as the two victims in a double-fatal crash on NE-33, in Crete, NE, Wednesday afternoon.
Patzloff, 57, and Silva, 85, both of Milligan, NE, died Wednesday after their Oldsmobile Alero was struck head-on by a pickup truck while traveling on Highway 33 entering Crete.
The Ford F150 pickup truck was driven by Kevin Schwartzer, age 55, of Omaha, according to KLKNNews.
Schwartzer was flown by helicopter to Lincoln via StarCare air ambulance in unknown condition.
Patzloff and Silva were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Autopsies have been scheduled.
