NATIONWIDE. (THECOUNT) — An AT&T outage Tuesday morning is causing havoc with 911 lines across many states and counties in the U.S.
Police in Southlake and Keller DFW say dispatchers are having trouble receiving 911 calls from AT&T customers this morning. AT&T customers in Benzie and Midland Counties are unable to call 911 at the moment because of an outage. AT&T says it’s working to fix the problem. Both counties have provided alternative numbers to call instead.

Others took to Twitter to warn customers of the outage:
Pickens County 911 says that an AT&T service outage is preventing people from making 911 calls. They are aware and the problem is being worked on. Please dial 205-367-9804 if you have an emergency.
VA Statewide Incidents: Colonial heights, Va *911 outage* From the City of Colonial Heights. AT&T is currently experiencing an outage when dialing 911. If you are an AT&T customer and have an emergency, please dial (804) 520-9300 option 7 for immediate assistance.
Winnebago County SO: Our 911 Comm Center received notice that AT&T is experiencing outages with their mobility wireless 911 that may affect calling in.
Dutchess County Emergency Management: AT&T Mobility is experiencing a network service outage impacting the ability to deliver AT&T Mobility wireless 9 1 1 calls in our area.

We have received word that AT&T mobile customers are experiencing network issues around our area. Per AT&T “The specific cause of the service outage has not yet been determined. Due to this service outage, you may experience interruptions or degradation to Wireless 9 1 1 calls.
