GREENWICH TOWNSHIP, PA. (THECOUNT) — Nicholas Winter and Nicolas Winter have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash in Berks County early Saturday morning. Lisa Winter was injured in the collision.
Nicholas Winter, 56, and 26-year-old Nicolas Winter, were killed while on I-78 after a vehicle in which they were traveling was rear-ended and sent careening off the roadway around 3:30 a.m. in Greenwich Township. Passenger Lisa Winter, 55, was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
According to police, a vehicle driven by Christopher Allen Cornelius, 41, struck the rear of Winter’s vehicle, sending that vehicle off the roadway and down an embankment, reports WFMZ.
Nicholas Winter and Nicolas Winter were pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Cornelius was also transported to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest with unknown minor injuries.
