CORUNNA, MI. (THECOUNT) — Rebecca Johnson has been identified as the victim in a Vernon Township, Michigan, crash on Thursday.

“Becky Adolf Johnson,” 47, was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle crash at the corner of Vernon Rd, and Lansing Rd, in Corunna, Michigan, after an SUV in which she was a passenger, collided with a cargo van owned by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Johnson was seated in the front of the SUV when the crash occurred.

Johnson’s children — a ninth-grader and an 11th-grader, according to an email sent out by Corunna Superintendent John Fattal — also were in the SUV. An unrelated ninth-grade boy also was in the van with the Johnsons. Fattal identified the driver of the cargo van as D.J. Riley, whose daughter, a fifth-grader, was a passenger, according to Argus-Press.

The children were transported to area hospitals for evaluation where they are expected to fully recover.
