Lil Durk Attempt Murder Arrest Warrant Issued In Atlanta Over Feb 5 ‘The Varsity’ Shooting

ATLANTA, GA. (THECOUNT) — Rapper Lil Durk is wanted by police in connection to a February 5 shooting that left an Atlanta man fighting for his life. That man survived.

Atlanta police say, a person was found suffering from gunshot wounds around 5:45 AM Feb. 5 at a restaurant called The Varsity, according to TMZ. Police recovered 13 shell casings from a rifle and pistol at the scene and found a firearm.

According to officials, the shooting victim was rushed to a hospital were he underwent successful emergency surgery.

Investigators say they later interviewed a pair of witnesses to the shooting who said the victim appeared to be in a verbal dispute with an unknown black male before the shooting.

Police say they’ve reviewed surveillance footage, and are still investigating.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ cops want to bring Lil Durk in to book him on 5 FELONY charges, including criminal intent to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and another charge of associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.

“Durk Banks” took to his Instagram Wednesday night to say he’s turning himself into police on Thursday. According to TMZ, he has not yet remanded himself into custody.
