CORPUS CHRISTI, TX. (THECOUNT) — A body has been discovered amid the search for missing Texas A&M-Corpus Christi student, Brandon Rios.
Corpus Christi police have located a body in a wooded area near Oso Bay and Halifax Drive. A positive identification of the body has not yet occurred.
Rios, 18, was last seen leaving his home around 7 a.m. Friday, May 3 and was reported missing the following day. Rios is a student at TAMUCC.
The body was found with the assistance of the United States Border Patrol and its K-9 unit.
A search party spent much of Wednesday scanning the trails along the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve looking for signs of Rios, reports KRISTV.
