LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — The family of Nipsey Hussle is saying “thanks but no thanks,” ordering several crowdfunding efforts erected to help the rapper’s kids to shutdown.
The family says Hussle made arrangements to provide for his family making sure they’d be financially secure, reports TMZ.
There have been multiple crowdfunding efforts cropping up on the internet aimed at assisting the family, including one former NFL star Reggie Bush started… But now that GoFundMe has been taken down.
Bush set up a GoFundMe in hopes of raising $100,000 for Nipsey’s kids, personally chipping in $10k to get things started. But, that fundraiser has already been scrubbed from the internet.
Sources close to the rapper’s family told TMZ that Hussle made sure his two children, Emani and Kross Asghedom, would never have to rely on other people for money by setting up several trust fund accounts in their names.
Nipsey was remembered as a savvy businessman during his celebration of life … and for good reason. We’re told he owned all of his master recordings, his Marathon Clothing store.
The family remains grateful for the outpouring of love and support, but as one source close to the family put it, Hussle just wouldn’t want it that way, and since he left his family financially secure … it’s just not necessary.
