GREENE COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Shavonne Jane A. McDowell, of South Euclid, Ohio has been identified as the woman killed in a head-on collision in Greene County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
McDowell, 25, of South Euclid, was operating a VW sedan traveling westbound on Wilberforce-Clifton Road, when for unknown reasons, she crossed centerlines into opposing lanes and in the path of a southbound commercial box truck.
A 28-year-old man from Columbus operating the truck suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. A second truck passenger was not injured, according to WHIO.
McDowell, who was the sole occupant, was not wearing her seatbelt, according to the crash reports.
She was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple injuries suffered in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
