PERRY HALL, MD. (THECOUNT) — Aaron Reddy, of Perry Hall, Maryland, has been identified as the teen fatally struck after exiting a vehicle following a crash on Interstate 95 Wednesday night.
Hall, 18, was killed near the Joppa Road overpass after he was hit by oncoming traffic after getting out of his car, which had crashed into a tree, according to officials.
Officials said they responded the area Wednesday after 10:30 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian down. Upon arrival, officials discovered a Honda Civic in the woods parallel to the interstate and a male victim lying unresponsive on the highway, reports Patch.
Reddy was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
It is not clear to investigators why Reddy’s vehicle exited the roadway in the initial crash.
Reddy was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
