LINCOLN COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Angela Medici has been identified as the Lincoln County woman facing murder charges after reportedly shooting her boyfriend in the head in Troy early Monday morning.
Medici, 49, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action after police say she shot her boyfriend, Keith Sweetin, in the head.
Officials responded to a call of shots fired at Lakota Acres around 3 a.m. Monday and found a 63-year-old man suffering from gunshot injuries.
Sweetin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies took Medici into custody after their investigation deemed her the shooter.
Medici reportedly later told investigators she shot Sweetin with a handgun after being assaulted by him earlier in the morning.
The investigation is ongoing.
She faces a first degree murder charge as well as a charge of armed criminal action. She is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on a $300,000 cash only bond, reports KMOV.
