SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — A deputy has been shot in an ongoing active shooter situation in northeast Tennessee on Saturday, emerging reports say.
The wounded Sullivan County deputy is being treated at a hospital, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Andy Seabolt told the Bristol Herald-Courier.
The severity of the deputy’s injuries is unknown, WFTV reported Saturday.
The active shooter situation is ongoing. Several law enforcement agencies, including the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, are on the scene. At least one road has been blocked off.
