ME Man Michael Middleton Arrested After NH Police Say Has 3 Wives In 3 Different States

BIDDEFORD, ME. (THECOUNT) — Maine prosecutors say, New Hampshire officials will get the first chance to prosecute Biddeford man, Michael Middleton, who they claim is married to three women in multiple states.

Middleton, 43, is being held on bigamy charges in Ohio while awaiting extradition to New Hampshire, say officials.

Investigators say, Middleton was practicing polygamy by marrying a New Hampshire woman while also being married to women in Alabama and Georgia.

It is unclear if the woman were aware of Middleton’s multiple marriages.

Maine prosecutors said Middleton is also wanted in Maine for charges of domestic violence assault and violation of a protective order in York County.

Middleton is also wanted for failure to pay a fine for operating under the influence and operating without a license in Presque Isle, reported 10TV on Friday.

Middleton was arrested in Franklin County, Ohio.
