HENRICO, VA. (THECOUNT) — Robert Evans, Jr. of Henrico, Virginia, has been identified as the pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle in Henrico County.
Evans, 54, was killed by a vehicle while on foot on Brook Road, in Henrico, VA, Sunday night after 8 p.m.
Police responded to calls of a man down in Henrico. Upon arrival, officials found an adult male pedestrian who has been struck by a vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle responsible for striking Evans remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Evans was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force injuries.
No one was cited in the incident.
Neither speed or intoxication are factors in the incident, reports NBC12.
The investigation is ongoing.
