FL Family ID’d Denim Williams As Orlando Teen Shot Dead Wednesday In Parramore “Never Thought That Was Last Hug”

ORLANDO, FL. (THECOUNT) — Denim Williams has been identified by family members on Facebook as the Orlando teen killed in a Polk Street shooting in Parramore late Wednesday morning.

“Krosstown Life” Williams, 16, was fatally injured in a shooting incident that occurred at about 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of Polk Street, an Orlando Police Department spokesman said Thursday.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

Residents crowded behind an apartment building across the street from where the shooting took place as police taped off the front of the building, blocking tenants from walking onto Jefferson Street. Among the groups was a gathering of people who identified themselves as the victim’s family members. source

Police offered no suspect or motive information on the deadly shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.

“I’m so sorry Denim…You could of been soooo much more!! you deserved greater baby and boy was I working to give it to you all!! But I couldn’t get that beast/pain out of your heart no matter how much I tried I’m sorry you had the life you did, I’m sorry I couldn’t do more never thought that was the hug I’d get from you…f–k man”

Williams’ death marked Orlando’s first homicide of 2019.

Parramore is a neighborhood in west-central Orlando, Florida. It is a historical neighborhood for Orlando residents of African descent, and suffered greatly during the Jim Crow era of institutionalized racism. In 2015, the unemployment rate was reported as 23.8% and median household income was $15,493, source Wikipedia.
