WI Man Jonathan Luskin Missing Since June ID’d As Body Found In Iška Slovenia

LJUBLJANA, Slovenia (THECOUNT) — Jonathan Luskin of Wisconsin, has been identified by Slovenian police Saturday as the human remains found near a popular hiking place in Slovenia.

The body of Luskin 25, was discovered Dec. 23 in a gorge in Iski Vintgar, in Iška, Ig, Slovenia.

The body displayed no signs of foul play, according to authorities.

A cause of death was not provided by officials.

Police say Lukin was reported missing to Slovenian authorities on July 25. Family members have said he traveled with them in Austria and Germany before parting in June. source

Luskin, who worked as a teacher in Hong Kong, wanted to extend his trip with a visit to Slovenia.

The case remains under investigation.

Iška is a settlement in Upper Iška Valley in the Municipality of Ig in central Slovenia. The entire municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region. The settlement includes the hamlet of Mala Vas, where the road to Gornji Ig branches off, according to Wikipedia.
