WASHINGTON, DC. (THECOUNT) — Donations to the GoFundMe for controversial “We The People Will Fund The Wall,” has surpassed a staggering $12 million in the four days since it was erected.

The crowdfunding effort to raise money to pay for a proposed border wall showed no signs of slowing early Friday nearly quadrupling its funds since it was created December 16, 2018.
By Friday morning, the GoFundMe reached over a full hundredth of the way to its $1 billion goal with almost 200,000 folks participating by donating thus far.
The controversial GoFundMe was created by Brian Kolfage, a Purple Heart Recipient triple amputee veteran.
A triple amputee Air Force veteran and motivational speaker is asking the 63 million Americans to pony up $80 apiece for the border wall.
The donations pouring into the effort ranged in size from a few dollars to hundreds and even thousand dollars and up.
“Even if we get half, that’s half the wall. We can do this,” Kolfage wrote on his GoFundMe. “They are giving and they are from both sides of the aisle, and that’s why this movement is growing so fast.”
The most successful GoFundMe effort to date has raised more than $22 million and counting in the last year for the “Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund,” which provides counsel to victims of sexual abuse and harassment. source.
