SUMNER COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Susan Keller, of Westmoreland, TN, has been identified as the woman killed while walking on Highway 31E in Sumner County Monday night.
Keller, whose age was not provided, was hit while attempting to walk to her disabled vehicle Monday evening on U.S. 31E, Gallatin, TN, north of Rockbridge Market.
The victim was experiencing car trouble and was force to pull over on Highway 31E. Other motorists reportedly stopped to assist Keller, the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said.
At some point, Keller was crossing the highway to return to her vehicle when she was struck by a passing pickup truck.
Keller was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the collision.
Keller was taken to Sumner County Regional Medical Center where she died. source
