PIKEVILLE, KY. (THECOUNT) — Carl Gross, of Raccoon, KY, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash on US-119 Thursday afternoon, according to Kentucky State Police.
Gross, 48, was traveling on US 119 near Pikeville Medical Center around 3:15 p.m., when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines and struck another vehicle head-on.
Two teenagers in the second vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Gross was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Police are investigating.
No one thus far has been cited in the crash.
