MO Couple ID’d As Victims Found Dead Saturday In Kansas City Double-Homicide

KANSAS CITY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Fernando Howard, and Shaketa Payne, has been identified as the couple found dead on Monroe Ave, in Kansas City, MO, early Saturday.

Kansas City PD are investigating after Howard, 35, and Payne, 36, were found dead in the 2900 block of Monroe Ave after midnight Saturday morning.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

A cause of death was not provided by officials.

Police are calling the incident a double homicide but they did not elaborate.

Officers reported to the 2900 block of Monroe at around 12:30 a.m. There, they found the bodies of a male and female. Both were pronounced dead on the scene, according to police. source

The investigation remains active.
