WORCESTER, MA. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Roy has been identified as the firefighter killed early Sunday morning while battling a blaze in Worcester.
Roy, 36, died after becoming trapped on the second floor of a burning apartment building in the 100 block of Lowell Street, in Worcester Sunday.
A second firefighter was also transported to the hospital and is in stable condition, Lavoie said. source
Firefighters efforts to save Roy from the rapidly deteriorating conditions “were heroic,” Lavoie said.
