CAROLINE, VA. (THECOUNT) — George Warren Morris, and his passenger, Kelly Fay Morris, both of Spotsylvania, Virginia, were identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash involving a VDOT truck in Caroline County Tuesday afternoon.
George Morris, 38, and Kelly Morris, 36, were traveling southbound Route 1 near Cedon Road in Caroline County on in a Nissan Altima, when for unknowns reasons, exited their lane, crossed centerlines and struck a Virginia Department of Transportation Ford F-550 that was traveling northbound.
The couple was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the violent crask.
Neither were wearing seatbelts at the time on the collision.
No other injuries were reported and no one was cited in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
VSP said a Nissan Altima was traveling south and veered across two lanes striking a Virginia Department of Transportation Ford F-550 that was traveling northbound. source
