COLUMBUS, GA. (THECOUNT) — Tommy Jones has been identified as the Columbus teen found shot dead in a Walgreens parking lot Wednesday.
Jones, 19, of Columbus was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound at 6:54 p.m. in the emergency room of Piedmont Columbus Regional midtown campus, said Muscogee County Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley.
His body will be transported to the crime lab in Decatur for an autopsy on Friday.

Worley said Columbus police were called at 6:13 p.m. to the drug store parking lot at 2510 Wynnton Road. Jones was transported to the hospital where he died.
