Family Of MI Hunter Shot Dead Friday Asks For Public’s Help In Finding Lansing Father’s “Killer”

BATH TOWNSHIP, MI. (THECOUNT) — Authorities have identified the man shot and killed Friday while apparently hunting deer in mid-Michigan as Chong Moua Yang, from Lansing, MI.

According to reports, Chong, 68, who also went by the name “Ia Yang,” was shot and killed while deer hunting northwest of Lansing in Clinton County around 10 p.m. Friday.

Yang was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family members took to Facebook to ask the public’s help in locating their father’s “killer;”

Thank you to everyone who has been sending kind supporting words to my family and I. Do know your words brings us much comfort and shows us how much we are loved and blessed.

Please continue to share my father’s story but please don’t make the situation worse than it is. My father was not a troublemaker and would not want his death to stir up problem.

This whole ordeal has been painful but it has really opened my eyes to how much love and kindness is out there amongst strangers. We may never be able to rid this world of hate but as long as we continue to love and respect one another everything will be okay❤❤❤
