LA VISTA, NE. (THECOUNT) — Charlotte J. Weaver, 73, and Herman J. Weaver, 72, have been identified as the victims in an apparent murder-suicide in La Vista, NE, Tuesday night.
The weavers were named as the elderly victims of a murder-suicide after officers responded to a call of shots fired at the Alpine Village Apartments, near 86th Circle and Harrison, around 11:15 p.m.
A man told a 911 operator that he had shot his wife and was going to kill himself.
The 911 operator said what sounded like a gunshot was then heard on the open phone line.
Charlotte was found dead at the scene of gunshot wounds. Herman was transported to an area hospital where he was hater pronounced dead of gunfire.
La Vista Police are investigating a shooting incident that left two people dead late Tuesday night – an apparent murder and suicide. Police identify the murder victim as Charlotte J. Weaver, 73. She was dead at the scene Herman J. Weaver, 72, was transported to the hospital but died a short time later. source
Autopsies were scheduled Wednesday.
