BATON ROUGE, LA. (THECOUNT) — Edneis Braga has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Monterrey Boulevard, in Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday.
Braga, 41, was traveling southbound on a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when he struck the side of a northbound 2012 Jeep that was making a left turn.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike during the collision.
Braga was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the crash.
Baton Rouge Police responded to reports of a motorcycle crash around 2:20 p.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, emergency officials responded to the crash in the 3200 block on Monterrey Boulevard near Dorchester Drive and Glennsade Avenue. The motorcyclist, identified as 41-year-old Edneis Braga, died at the scene, according to BRPD. source
The driver and passenger of the Jeep weren’t injured during the crash.
No one was cited in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
