BROOKINGS, ND. (THECOUNT) — Corey Kilber, of Bismarck, North Dakota, has been identified a Brookings man as the person who died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday, west of Brookings.
Authorities say a freightliner semi-truck pulling a hazardous materials trailer was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 14 when he was rear-ended by a Chevy pickup.
Damage to the trailer led to the leaking dangerous of sodium hydroxide. The spill was contained by emergency responders.
Kilber, the driver of the pickup, died of injuries sustained in the crash.
