RED LODGE, MT. (THECOUNT) — Paul McKay, a Red Lodge, Joliet High School sophomore, has been identified as one of two victims in a fatal Fromberg, MT, crash Thursday.
McKay, 16, was killed after a vehicle he was operating crossed center lines and struck another vehicle Thursday morning Highway 310 near Fromberg, MT.
The victim of the other vehicle was identified as 56-year-old Michael Oedekoven, of Billings, MT.
Both drivers died from blunt force injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to reports.
According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the crash happened Thursday morning Highway 310 near Fromberg, just before 8 a.m. The patrol said a Dodge pickup driven by McKay was traveling northbound and drifted across the center and encroached into the southbound lane. He then struck Oedekoven going the opposite direction driving a Ford pickup. He was not wearing his seatbelt. source
