BRONX, NY. (THECOUNT) — New York police have identified Carlos Alvarez as the man found choked to death after apparently getting his shirt caught up in a Bronx escalator Sunday.
Alvarez, 48, fell at a train station in the Bronx early Sunday, where he was found unresponsive.

Authorities say Alvarez had been drinking.
