PORT CLINTON, PA. (THECOUNT) — Michael Andrews, of Schuylkill County, PA, has been identified as the victim killed in a pedestrian crash on Pennsylvania 61, in Port Clinton on Sunday night.
Andrews, 57, died after apparently falling onto the southbound lanes of the roadway as he exited a vehicle around 9:45 p.m. Sunday, state police said.
State police said a car abruptly swerved to the left, probably trying to avoid Andrews, and a second car was unable to avoid him and inadvertently ran him over. source
Police say that driver who struck Andrews stayed on scene, was not cited, and will not be charged in the fatal wreck.
Andrews was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
