VANCOUVER, WA. (THECOUNT) — Isabella Huyck, of Tumwater, WA, and Aaron Jones, of Vancouver, WA, have been identified as the victims killed in a Saturday night crash in Vancouver.
Police confirmed, Jones, 34, and Huyck, 19, were the two people killed late Saturday night in a crash that seriously injured two others, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.
Jones was operating a Toyota Scion XB on NE 139th Street when he, for unknown reasons, exited the roadway and collided with at tree. Speed was a factor in the crash according to authorities.
Lindsay Winter, 33, of Hillsboro, was pulled from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital in critical condition. Another passenger, Derek Martin, 24, of Vancouver, suffered minor injuries.
The vehicle burst in flames following the crash. Huyck remained in the vehicle.
Deputies say Aaron Jones, 34, of Vancouver, was speeding westbound on NE 139th Street in a Toyota Scion XB when he ran a stop sign at a “T” intersection at NE 182nd Avenue and hit a tree. source
Jones and Huyck were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the violent collision.
